“Not what you needed! Hemorrhoids can be particularly bad in pregnancy because of all the pressure, constipation, and dilated veins. First address the issue of constipation, which causes or makes hemorrhoids worse. For comfort, try sitting in a bathtub and soak. Over-the-counter preparations are fine to use for added comfort. If the pain is severe, ask your doctor for prescription-strength medication. Most of the time these hemorrhoids will decrease in size and maybe even go away.”
